“ Cycling Ability ”


Level 1. Must be able to ride comfortably on varied terrain i.e. gravel roads and flowing single-tracks and be able to ride small obstacles of more than 5cm.
Level 2. Must be able to ride over most technical terrain including steep single track decents, wooded terrain lined with tree roots and off cambered routes. Step ups and drop offs up to 30cm. Steep accents and decents
Level 3. Riders will be comfortable in all types of terrain, but must also be comfortable at jumping and riding over various obstacles, drop offs of 1m+ in dedicated downhill routes and bike parks.
Level 1. Must require a basic level of fitness allowing 2-4 hours in the saddle. This includes a small number of demanding hills and terrain. Rides are broken up with rest stops, lunch etc.
Level 2. Must posses an average level of fitness from active, regular riding of varied terrain. Ride lengths 3-5 hours.
Level 3. Above average fitness level allowing a whole day riding in all types of terrain and gradient. Suitable for a seasoned rider that has actively ridden for a number of years.
